As you can see, there is no way I can get the second ring mounted onto the rail. I've seem plenty of setups like this one, but I am not that comfortable shooting this way

It looks like I will need a rail extender for my AR to position the scope where I would like it. I want the eye piece to be just forward of the charging handle.
